Good Neighbors

The single-family houses in Hidden Valley are zoned E3 single family.  All lots have a 20-foot setback from the street, which is considered the front yard.  Properties on corners are considered to have 2 front yards with the same laws applied as lots with just one street frontage.

Boats, trailers are not allowed to be stored in the front yards. City zoning ordinance.

Hedges and fences area not allowed above 3 feet in the front yard setback. City zoning ordinance.

Property owners are required to keep the sidewalks clear of vegetation. City zoning ordinance.

The single-family homes in Hidden Valley have one kitchen. The city considers that if a second kitchen is added in a single-family home, then that home becomes a duplex and is in violation of the single-family zoning.

Problems concerning these items can be reported to Planning and Zoning at 564-5470

Excess noise is handled by the police dept. at 911 or 965-5151.

Vehicles stored or left on the street for 72 hours can be reported and will be marked and towed as abandoned.  To report the vehicle, call 897-2413

We live in a nice neighborhood and consideration of each other protects our property values and makes Hidden Valley a special place.
